Oliver Bernard have partnered with an ambitious, technology-driven business looking to build out a new team of engineers, with AI sitting at the heart of how they build and deliver software.
They're looking for experienced Python engineers who want more than just another backend role. This is an opportunity to influence technical decisions, take real ownership and help shape the engineering culture, tooling and standards of a growing team.

What makes this opportunity exciting?
Rather than simply maintaining existing systems, you'll play a key role in building reliable, scalable backend services while embracing modern AI-assisted development.
You'll work with agentic coding tools and spec-driven development, using AI throughout the software development lifecycle, from technical design and implementation to testing and code review.

Who would be a great fit?

6+ years of commercial software engineering experience

Strong expertise in Python and Django

Experience building and scaling backend services in production

Strong knowledge of system architecture, relational data modelling and API design

Someone who actively embraces AI tooling and wants to push the boundaries of how software is built

An engineer who enjoys ownership, collaboration and helping shape a team's technical direction
