The Role

You’ll be the senior engineer behind an enterprise customer communications platform built on OpenText Exstream. You’ll design, build, and support the applications that produce high-volume customer communications, and you’ll set the bar for how that work gets delivered.

The team is modernizing. As that work grows, there’s room to expand into other languages and frameworks.

What the Work Looks Like

• Building and maintaining customer communications applications in OpenText Exstream
• Turning business requirements into technical designs and working solutions
• Directing offshore developers and third-party vendors on project and support work
• Reviewing code and working closely with peer engineers
• Keeping support commitments and service levels on track at high request volumes
• Putting process and audit controls in place, and making sure the team follows them
• Supporting the web front ends and services connected to the platform

What Makes You a Fit

• Hands-on OpenText Exstream experience
• 8+ years in IT, with 5+ years building and supporting enterprise applications
• Java, JavaScript, and HTML experience, plus MySQL
• A track record of leading offshore teams or vendors through delivery
• Strong requirements, documentation, and testing discipline
• Experience in financial services or another regulated industry
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Bonus Points

• AngularJS, HTML5, CSS3, and RESTful web services
• Cloud and data management exposure
• Code, defect, and ticket management tools
• Agile and waterfall delivery experience
• A habit of pushing for better processes and tools

Pay: $125,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
