We’re hiring on behalf of a US-based insurtech company we advise. The role is a 6-month contract, with a strong chance of converting to permanent if it’s a good fit both ways.

The role

You’ll own onboarding new insurance carriers onto the platform from start to finish. That means working directly with carriers to understand their requirements, then building the integration end to end: APIs, data processing, database work, and the frontend quoting flows. Some carriers need custom steps, such as e-signatures before a policy can be finalized, and you’ll build those flows too.

You’ll work closely with the CTO and your impact will be immediate.

What we’re looking for

• A proven full-stack engineer who has shipped production apps across frontend and backend
• Experience with the stack: Node.js, Next.js, React, Postgres (PlanetScale), Tailwind and ShadCN
• Comfort with third-party API integrations, including messy docs, custom auth and data mapping
• Experience with JSON-driven forms and multi-step flows
• An AI-first approach to coding: you use Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or similar every day, and you know how to set up workflows and guardrails for agents
• The ability to work independently and figure things out without hand-holding

Nice to have: experience in insurance, payments, or carrier APIs.
