Overview
Lead backend JavaScript engineering from design through delivery. You’ll guide development of reliable, scalable services and APIs, collaborate across product and engineering, and help teams make sound technical decisions. Your work will support responsive web applications and dependable experiences for the people who use them.
This job is on-site 4 days per week in Coppell TX and will require in-person interview
Duties
- Lead the design, development, testing, debugging, and maintenance of backend systems using JavaScript and Node.js.
- Define system design and application architecture for RESTful APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and web services.
- Guide code reviews and technical decisions; strengthen software design, application design, scalability, and engineering practices.
- Partner with front-end and UI developers, including teams using React, Angular, or TypeScript, to deliver integrated web applications.
- Improve delivery through Agile software development, Scrum, version control, and continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
Requirements
- Strong experience with JavaScript, Node.js, backend development, API design, web development, and software engineering; demonstrated technical leadership is essential. Knowledge of Node frameworks such as Fastify, Express, NestJS or Koa.
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, database design, SQL, and systems such as MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
- Expertise migrating legacy systems to cloud-native environments preferably Azure or AWS.
Pay: $80.00 - $95.00 per hour
