Lead developer (Postgres/supabase) to build a live bidding platform.

What they must have

· 5+ years as a full-stack or backend developer, including a live system they built and ran largely on their own.

· PostgreSQL in depth: database functions, transactions, row-level security and indexing. This is the core skill.

· Supabase: login, security rules, real-time updates, server functions, backups and recovery. The platform is hosted in the Ireland region.

· Real-time and concurrency: experience with systems where many people act at once, such as auctions, bookings or trading.

· Stripe: card charges, full and partial refunds, webhooks, chargebacks and failed refunds.

· Security and audit: append-only logs, role-based access, and approvals by two administrators for sensitive actions.

· TypeScript and React

What is strongly preferred

· Can review and fix AI-generated code.

· Knowledge of GDPR and UK data protection.

· Has built to accessibility standard WCAG 2.2 AA.

· Experience with email, push notifications and system monitoring.

· Has run load tests on a live system.

Pay: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
